For those of you who can stomach watching Donald Trump being sworn-in as president of the United States of America , a restaurant is marking the event with a big screen and special menu.
The K Bar, based at The Kensington Hotel, has launched a Trump Menu which will include a selection of the President-elect’s culinary favourites for the inauguration on Friday (January 20), and showing live coverage of the event.
Menu highlights include The Kensington’s interpretation of one of Trump’s favourite snacks for the campaign trail - haddock hot dog, tartare sauce and crushed peas, as well as hearty meat loaf and eggs, the Trump Tower burger, mac and cheese, and bacon burger on brioche.
With Mexico such an important part of his election campaign after Trump controversially promised to build a wall separating the countries, there is also food from south of the border, such as quesadillas, grilled shrimp and vegetable tacos.
A selection of cocktails will also be available at the Queen’s Gate restuarant.
All dishes are prices at £6 each or £15 for three.
The menu was launched on Monday January 16 and will be available until January 22.
