A bakery has been announced as the second retailer set to open in Ealing 's Dickens Yard.

GAIL's Bakery will offer a range of breads, cakes, sandwiches and salads from autumn 2018.

It becomes the second retailer set to open in the spot after fashion outlet, Jigsaw, was announced as the first by developers St George in February this year.

The fashion retailer, which originally opened in Hampstead in 1972, is also set to open in autumn 2018.

GAIL's has become the second retailer announced for Dickens Yard

Craig Carson, managing director of St George West, said: "We are delighted that GAIL’s have chosen to open a new store at Dickens Yard in Ealing.

"The popular bakery will give local residents yet another reason to visit our new public square and high street at Dickens Yard.

"I look forward to making further exciting announcements in the coming months."

The bakery will compliment the award winning restaurant Charlotte's W5, which opened in February last year.

The Dickens Yard development is centred in Ealing and is set to be completed in 2019.

Around 500 homes have already been built, alongside 104,000 sq ft of retail space and public space.

Tom Molnar, co-founder of GAIL’s Bakery, said: "Ealing is a great community and we’ll look forward to baking in Dickens Yard."
