A popular modern restaurant and a new artisan market have been announced as two of the latest developments confirmed to open in Ealing's Dickens Yard.

The five new signings include Balans, a modern cocktail-serving restaurant known as one of Soho's most popular eateries, and Tri Yoga, a yoga and Pilates studio.

They will be joined by Tonkotsu, a well-established Japanese ramen bar and restaurant, and Skinny Kitchen, a fitness-inspired restaurant.

Finally, Ealing Artisan, a collaboration between local markets W5 Food Market and Crafted W5, will launch a weekly Sunday market in Dickens Yard, with a collection of food and crafts.

The lettings are the latest in a wave of announcements for Dickens Yard, where Jigsaw and Gail's Bakery recently confirmed they will open in 2018.

They are to join Charlotte's W5, a popular British restaurant which opened in the west London redevelopment site 18 months ago.

Craig Carson, managing director at leading property developers St George West London, said the new signings will bring a “great boost” to the area.

“We are delighted to announce a further strong line-up of brands to open at Dickens Yard,” he said.

“The openings will be a great boost to the lifestyle mix on offer in Ealing and we look forward to making further announcements in the coming months.”

Five new signings have been announced for Dickens Yard

With 700 new homes and 104,000 square foot of restaurant, retail and leisure space, the Dickens Yard development forms an important part of Ealing town centre's transformation.

The developments are to come ahead of the arrival of the Elizabeth Line Crossrail station in 2018.

Residential development partner at Knight Frank, Alex Carr, added: “These new signings are a testament to the success of Dickens Yard as an exciting new lifestyle destination in west London.

“Knight Frank research shows that residential property prices around Crossrail stations have outperformed the wider market by an average of 7% along the whole line since the high-speed route gained Royal Assent in 2008.

“As the infrastructure project approaches completion, and becomes increasingly tangible, we anticipate that there will be an increased focus on Crossrail as the value of being in close proximity is truly realised.

GAIL's was the second retailer announced for Dickens Yard

“When looking at local residential values, average prices for homes within a 10-minute walk of Ealing Broadway station rose by 61% between July 2008 and the end of 2016 – compared to average house price growth of a 43% in Greater London over the same timeframe.”

The recently-confirmed Ealing Artisan market will officially open on Sunday October 8 with "We Love Cheese", a free cheese festival taking place from 11am until 4pm.
