A witness appeal has been launched after a cyclist was hit by a lorry in Marylebone.

A 45-year-old man was injured and rushed to hospital following the crash on Edgware Road at the junction with Chapel Street just after 9am on Friday (June 3).

The Metropolitan Police has said the man remains in hospital and his injuries are "not thought to be life threatening or life changing."

Officers, London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended the scene.

Detectives from Westminster CID are appealing for people who witnessed the collision or have any information in relation to the incident.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene and is assisting detectives with their enquires.

He was not arrested.

Road closures remain in place, particular the A5 Edgware Road is closed in both directions.
