David Beckham showed his heroic kindness and won over passers by after he stopped his car to help a lady who fell and hit her head in the street.

The former footballer was driving through Kensington on Friday (January 20) when he came across the woman who had fallen over.

The 41-year-old stopped and offered his assistance, along with another passer by who tweeted about the A-lister's gentlemanly act.

She wrote: "Was helping an old lady who fell over on my lunch break and guess who drives up to help? David Beckham. That's who. What a gentleman."

A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said: "At around 16.45 a fire engine was flagged down to an elderly woman who had tripped when crossing the road and fell and hit her head.

"David Beckham was parked nearby and had already given her a bottle of water. He assisted and when the ambulance arrived was thanked and told he could move on."

It's not the first time the celebrity has been spotted in west London.

In 2016, he made a surprise appearance at a fire safety event in The Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre.
