With spring and summer slowly beginning to make its presence felt, the council, through its volunteer Cycle Rangers initiative, wants cycle enthusiasts to suggest small changes that will encourage residents to get on their bike.
Volunteers will work with Hillingdon’s Street Champions to help cyclists highlight maintenance issues encountered whilst cycling, such as broken glass, potholes, and changes needed to cycle route signs.
Councillor Keith Burrows, transport boss in the borough, said: “Not only does cycling improve your fitness but it is also an environmentally and budget friendly way of travelling around the borough.
“We would like to hear from anyone with ideas of how we can keep Hillingdon cycle-friendly.”
