Flooding has caused chaos at Victoria Station for commuters this morning (November 9).

Platform 10 has been closed following heavy rainfall and for safety reasons.

People travelling through the station are advised there will be congestion in and out of the station in central London until later this morning.

A statement from Southern Rail said: "Owing to heavy rainfall and for safety reasons Network Rail has advised us that until further notice platform 10 will be closed.

"This will mean some services will be subject to alteration.

"All other platforms remain in uses and can we ask all passengers to take extra care whilst moving around Victoria and all other Southern stations today."

There are also minor delays on the Piccadilly line following

An earlier faulty engineering train at Acton Town is causing minor delays on the Piccadilly line between Acton Town and all Heathrow Terminals and to Uxbridge.
