A choir will sing a special concert to mark it’s fifth anniversary.

Kensington Singers was formed in January 2011 and threw a party for members past and present on January 25.

And they will put on their Songs of the Seas performance on March 17 at St Philip’s Church in Earls Court , where they meet to rehearse on Monday nights.

The choir was formed by Hannah Brine, who last year received a BBC Unsung Hero award for her work with community choirs. She said: “I can’t believe its been five years since I started this choir, the time has flown. It was my first choir in London and I love the people so much.

The choir members range in age from 22 to 75 and being non auditioned we have a wide range of experience levels from complete beginners to ex choristers and music graduates.

Songs of the Seas starts at 8pm. It will feature a string quartet, classical guitarist and vocal ensemble Peregrina EnChantica.
