A stash of cocaine has been found in a backpack by Border Force officers at Heathrow Airport.

The officers found three kilos of the white powder which had an estimated street value of £120,000 if cut and sold on the streets of London.

The investigation was passed to the National Crime Agency.

Officers stopped a male passenger arriving on a flight from Bogota, Colombia, on October 25.

A 22-year-old man, with dual British and Colombian nationality, was arrested and charged with importing a class A drug.

Brayan Aristizabal Ruiz, of Rotherhithe Street, Southwark, appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates Court on October 26 where he pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody.

His next appearance is due to be at Isleworth Crown Court on November 24 2016.
