An Uxbridge road was closed in both directions on Thursday afternoon (March 23) after two cars collided just outside Brunel University.

Cleveland Road was closed from around 3.45pm after the Metropolitan Police were called to the scene following a crash.

The incident happened at the junction with Ratcliffe Close and the vehicles were not moved for almost three hours.

A statement from the Met said: “ Police were called at 3.47pm on Thursday, March 23, to reports of a road traffic collision in Cleveland Road, at the junction with Ratcliffe Close, in Cowley.

“Officers attended and found two cars in collision.”

London Ambulance Service were also called to the scene and a man in his 30s was taken to a hospital in west London “as a precaution”.

The vehicles were recovered at around 6.35pm.

No arrests have been made.
