Two men accused of manslaughter after a father-of-five died at his home in Uxbridge have been cleared of causing his death.

Harkitan Singh Tiwana, 56, and Bikram Multani, 30, were acquitted of the manslaughter of Rakesh Desoura following a two-week trial at the Old Bailey.

The 42-year-old dad died at his home in Ryefield Avenue on September 18 last year. Known to his friends as George, he had been involved in a dispute and collapsed shortly afterwards.

A post-mortem examination on Mr Desoura, held at Uxbridge Mortuary the day after his death, gave the cause of death as “a coronary heart attack caused by an assault”.

The trial of Mr Tiwana, from Appletree Avenue, Uxbridge, and Mr Multani, from Dudley Road, Southall, began on March 10.

Friends of Mr Desoura paid tribute to him on Facebook shortly after his death.
