A signal failure at High Street Kensington has led to "severe delays" on both the Circle and District Line on Tuesday morning (December 12).

District Line delays between Edware Road and Wimbledon are "severe", with minor delays between Earls Court and Ealing Broadway.

Commuters travelling on the Circle Line between Gloucester Road and Edware Road have also been warned about severe delays.

Tickets are now being accepted on local bus routes, a spokesman for Transport for London said.

Delays are clearing after the earlier signal failure at High Street Kensington.

A number of rail services are currently experiencing severe or minor delays this morning.

Buses are still accepting tickets due to delays to the Circle and District Line.

Piccadilly Line signal failure

Trains and platforms could be busy from Acton Town to Cockfosters on the Piccadilly Line after an earlier signal failure at Hammersmith.

The problem has now been fixed, a spokesman for Transport for London confirmed.

Additional signal failures

On another note, commuters travelling between Harrow on the Hill and Aylesbury this morning are facing cancellations and delays of up to 60 minutes due to another signalling problem at Rickmansworth.

There is also no service on the Metropolitan Line between Harrow On The Hill and Amersham, Harrow On The Hill and Chesham and Harrow On The Hill and Watford due to signal failure at Moor Park.

Tickets are now being accepted on London Northwestern Railway services.

Circle and District Line users expressed their dissatisfaction about the “severe delays” on Twitter.

One labelled the disruptions as a “total and utter shambles”.
