A self-storage firm has called on people to back its Christmas appeal and help poorly children.

Access Self Storage Isleworth wants people to donate new and unused toys, books and games for children at Kingston Hospital.

Staff at the branch said more than 1,000 toys and decorations were donated to local charities following last year's appeal, and it hopes to fill an entire storage unit with goodies this year.

Michelle Bartsch, of Kingston Hospital Charity, said: "Your new and unused gifts will bring real cheer to our patients without friends and family over the festive period. A huge thank you to anyone who gets into the spirit of Christmas and makes a donation of something that might be sitting in a cupboard or drawer in your home."

People have until Monday, December 7 to drop off donations at Access Self Storage Isleworth, in London Road, Isleworth. The gifts will be wrapped by volunteers before they are delivered to children at the hospital over Christmas.
