Children were in awe of world record holder freestyle footballer DC Freestyle and his kicks and tricks at a sports centre opening in west London.
Around 150 youngsters along with their parents flocked to the fields on Nallhead Road, near the Feltham and Hanworth border, where they enjoyed a free festival of football at the new Lucozade Powerleague multi-sports facility.
The professional freestyle footballer taught local children all sorts of tricks , tips and 'tekkers' at the event last Saturday (April 16).
One of his world record attempts was bouncing a football on his lips, which he did at a sports centre in Isleworth.
They also had a go at the other games including bubble football, goggle football and cage football in a two vs two battle won by 13-year-olds Liam Fisher and Jose Camara, both from Feltham.
Rupert Campbell, Powerleague CEO, who attended the opening event, said: “From the best playing surfaces and digital innovations right through to excellent changing facilities and everything in between, this is a first-class five-a-side experience.
“It was fantastic to see the great footballing talent there is here. Girls, boys, toddlers, teens and adults all got involved, had a kick-around and tried out some insane new ways to experience football.
“Now we’re open, we’re here to nurture this local footballing talent and create more memorable moments on the pitch for players of all abilities.”
Facilities at the new sports club include six outdoor 5G pitches with the first-five-a-side pitch with horizontal stripes, a seven-a-side pitch and areas for rugby, hockey, netball and basketball; cage football area; changing rooms; sports shop and more.
The branch is open to local players, league teams, social teams, schools and community groups plus kids’ parties.
