Chelsea FC victory parade: Watch flyover of route as Premiership champions prepare for celebrations

The parade is expected to last for around an hour

The streets of Chelsea are soon to be filled with jubilant football fans, as Chelsea FC plan to celebrate winning the Premier League title with an open top bus victory parade.

Blues fans will also be hoping for a double celebration during the parade on Sunday May 28, if they defeat Arsenal in the FA Cup final the day before.

This Google Earth flyover shows the route of the buses, which will set off from the west entrance of Stamford Bridge, touring around Chelsea for around an hour.

After departing Stamford Bridge at midday, the buses will travel east along Fulham Road, before turning right into Hortensia Road.

The buses will travel down the road to reach King’s Road, where they will turn right and travel into New King’s Road, with the tour ending at around 1pm at Eel Brook Common.

The club has warned several roads in the area will be closed as a result of the parade.

It said: “We have been continuing to work closely with all relevant local agencies to ensure that the parade takes place in a peaceful and safe manner, with the least possible inconvenience caused to local residents.

“To this end, for public safety reasons, some roads will be closed and access to other roads restricted from 7am on May 28.

“Roads will be re-opened in the afternoon once crowds have dispersed, the clean-up operation has been completed and as soon as it is safe and practicable to do so.

“Every effort will also be made to re-open the Fulham Road as soon after the parade as possible.”

The Chelsea FC stars will be accompanied on the parade by the club’s academy team, who are celebrating winning the Under-18s Premier League title and FA Youth Cup.
