An collision between a car and motorbike at Danvers Street has entirely blocked Chelsea Embankment westbound and partially blocked eastbound side.

Emergency services are at scene and closed the road between Battersea Bridge and Albert Bridge.

Chelsea Embankment now "cleared"

At around 11.20am, the accident on Chelsea Embankment was reportedly cleared - nearly four hour after emergency services were called to the scene.

Chelsea Embankment: Man taken to hospital after colliding with van

A Met Police spokesperson told Get West London: “Police were called to Chelsea Embankment at 7:30am on 21 June to reports of a road traffic collision between a van and motorbike.
“London Ambulance Service was called to the scene.
“The male motorcyclist was taken to a south London hospital. His injuries are not life threatening.”

It was confirmed that “no arrests” were made and “enquiries continue.”

Queuing traffic continues along Chelsea Bridge Road Northbound at Grosvenor Road / Chelsea Embankment.

Congestion backs to Queenstown Road to Silverthorne Road - also affecting A3205 Battersea Park Road Eastbound.
Traffic is affected by the earlier closure of the Chelsea Embankment due to collision between a car and motorbike.

London Fire Brigade crew stopped to 'give first aid'

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “We did not attend in the capacity to do with the road traffic collision but a crew which was on their way to provide relief coverage elsewhere stopped to give first aid before London Ambulance arrived.”

Lanes have now reopened following Chelsea Embankment being closed in both directions.

For those just joining, this was due to an accident between a car and motorbike between Albert Bridge Road, Oakley Street and Beaufort Street

TfL has listed 14 roads affected by the collision on Chelsea Embankment, all of which are affected in both directions.

Here are the first seven:

Chelsea Embankment: TfL statement continued

TfL continued: “Battersea Bridge Road is also slow moving northbound with tailbacks now reaching beyond Prince of Wales Drive.

“Albert Bridge Northbound is also slow moving with tailbacks to Battersea park Road.

“Expect delays.”

Chelsea Embankment: Drivers warned to 'expect delays' and take 'alternative route'

TfL stated on its website: “Drivers are advised to use an alternative route.

“Eastbound traffic is slow moving with tailbacks now reaching into Edith Grove and beyond Kings Road.
“Westbound traffic is also slow moving on the approach with tailbacks now reaching Royal Hospital Road.”

A40: Motorists diverting causing 'further delays'

TfL said: “Residual traffic is reducing and currently slow from Northolt with resulting delays in both directions on A312 Church Road on approaches to Target Roundabout and Greenford Road on approach to Greenford Roundabout.

“Further delays are present due to a Collision having taken place Clockwise M25 between J16 ¿ J17 with motorists choosing to divert using Eastbound A40.”

According to Transport for London: “All lanes have reopened following a collision”

However, residual delays to be expected.

Earlier collision occurred on A40 Western Avenue (W3 ) (Eastbound) at the junction of Dukes Road (Park Royal) -

Chelsea Embankment remains closed in both directions with congestion backing to Royal Hospital Road, Edith Grove, King’s Road and Surrey Lane to A3220 Battersea Bridge Road.

There is qqueuing traffic due to earlier accident involving a lorry involved on A40 Western Avenue into town after Hanger Green (Park Royal Station).

Congestion backs to A4180 West End Road (Polish War Memorial).

All lanes re-opened at around 7.50am after being closed just before the BP Garage.

There is qqueuing traffic on A312 The Parkway Northbound from Willow Tree Roundabout (Yeading) to A40 (Target Roundabout).
Traffic is affected by problems on the A40 after Hanger Lane Gyratory.

At 8.15am, emergency services closed the road between Battersea Bridge and Albert Bridge.

Reports came in of an collision along A3212, Chelsea Embankment at aroun 8am today.

According to Get West London traffic system, the accident happened between Albert Bridge Road, Oakley Street and Beaufort Street.

Chelsea Embankment is closed in both directions.
