Anna Kennedy OBE, founder of autism charity Anna Kennedy Online and Uxbridge resident, has created a video entitled Inspiring Women, Inspiring Change documenting the experiences of five mums living with autism.

The film, released in conjunction with International Women's Day on Tuesday (March 8), celebrates women who face daily struggles with autism and what they have achieved.

The video includes music by artist Tiger Lilly, who wrote the song Woman for the video and the charity.

Tiger Lilly said: "I have so much respect and admiration for the Anna Kennedy Online charity, so it was an honour to write a song for this very special video which encompasses the essence of womanhood and their strength throughout our history."

Taking part in the video are: Anna Kennedy, founder of the charity; Samantha Tomlin, founder of Classic Models; Dawn Avery, financial Director to six companies; Joanne Wiggins, single mum of two and active charity champion; and Mala Thapar, active charity champion and event organiser.

Ms Kennedy said: "We wanted to create a video that focuses on these professional achievements, and shows how autism and their children have changed and inspired their lives. These women inspire me everyday, and I wanted to transfer this inspiration to other people.

"Our video is helping to spread an honest message about living with autism. It is allowing us to expand our outreach, raise awareness and continue to support more and more families on a global scale."

To celebrate International Women's Day and the success of the video, a Live Women in Music event will be held on Friday March 11 at Hard Rock Café in Mayfair.

The event will be a showcase of up-and-coming female music acts, and the film will also be screened. 10% of ticket sales will be donated to Anna Kennedy Online.
