Further details of plans to expand a primary school and build more than 280 new homes in Hounslow have been released ahead of a public exhibition.

getwestlondonreported in March about proposals to rebuild Hounslow Town Primary School , enabling it to expand, and to create hundreds of homes around the site, just east of Hounslow High Street.

Countryside Properties was chosen in February as Hounslow Council 's preferred developer for the 6.6 acre site between London Road and Pears Road, and aims to submit a planning application this summer.

Its latest plans, due to go on display on Friday (May 6) and Saturday (May 7), are for 284 new homes, 40% of which will be affordable, including 20 for which older residents will be given priority.

The new school building would enable it to expand from three to five form entry to meet the huge demand for school places in the area . It would be built first, under the plans, enabling the school to remain open on site.

There will be an exhibition for parents, carers and teachers at the school on Friday, May 6, from 3.30pm-5.30pm, and a public exhibition on Saturday, May 7, from 10am-5pm. Both exhibitions will take place at the school, in Pears Road, Hounslow.

Comment forms will be available at the exhibitions, or you can submit any comments or further questions about the proposals by emailing Countryside Properties at info@htpsr.co.uk.
