FSA ratings

A restaurant that receives a zero or one rating from the FSA is still allowed to trade so long as the officer deems the food is safe to eat.

A food safety officer will offer advice and guidance on how to improve the rating together with a timescale.

If it is not met, then further implications will be made on the business.

If an imminent health risk is found an officer could shut down part of the operation or close the entire business.
