A derailed engineering train on the Central Line in White City this morning (March 10) caused misery for commuters as delays impacted the service during rush hour.

Transport for London (TfL) said one carriage derailed on the line at around 4am this morning, adding that no one was injured.

The incident initially led to a closure on the Central Line between Ealing Broadway and Marble Arch, with delays on the rest of the line.

The line opened between Ealing Broadway and North Acton at around 8am, but it is not yet clear when the line will open between North Acton and Marble Arch.

Passengers have been urged to make alternative arragements.

Tickets will be accepted on London Buses, Chiltern Railways and Great Western Railway via any reasonable route.
