A man accused of stuffing a 19-year-old's body into a freezer after kidnapping, raping and cutting her throat has denied murder.

Celine Dookhran was found dead at an address in Kingston, south-west London, on July 19, after allegedly being kidnapped by two men, one from Ealing.

Mujahid Arshid, 33, appeared at the Old Bailey charged with her kidnap, rape and murder.

The defendant, of no fixed address, is also charged with the sexual assault, kidnap, rape and attempted murder of a second woman, who for legal reasons cannot be identified.

Vincent Tappu, 29, of Spencer Road, Ealing, is charged with the kidnap of Miss Dookhran and the second female victim.

Both men face additional charges of conspiracy to falsely imprison both victims and the unlawful possession of a Taser.

Arshid and Tappu pleaded not guilty to all charges against them via videolink at the Old Bailey.

They are due to stand trial on January 17 next year, which is due to last up to four weeks.

Miss Dookhran's family have described her as "amazingly talented" and said she "brought happiness, joy and laughter to her family and friends".

They also said that they are proud of her achievements in life, in a statement released in July.
