A heartbroken family whose puppy was stolen from their home in a late night burglary has released CCTV footage in the hope of being reunited with their dog.

The family, who live in The Avenue, Harrow Weald, were devastated to find their 9-week-old puppy was missing and their door left wide open at 1am, with nothing else missing from the property.

Since investigating the incident, on January 5, Harrow officers told getwestlondon two white males arrived in a dark coloured people carrier to the property.

Now the family, who are desperate to find their pet, have put out the footage in the hope of getting more information on the crime.

Investigating officers said the thieves left towards College Hill Road, leaving the family "devastated, particularly the young child".

They also added that they believe it was a targeted theft.
