A suspect has been arrested after a pile of rubbish was found dumped in West Kensington.

CCTV captured the flytipping in Lerry Close on July 29, with a case now being put together to prosecute the person responsible.

It happened less than a fortnight after a flytipper was caught on film dumping rubbish in Fulham before brazenly taking a photograph of the mess and leaving.

Hammersmith and Fulham Police had been called to Lerry Close after being alerted by a member of the public, but the suspect had left before officers arrived.

Council CCTV picked up the vehicle’s registration details and within two hours it had been spotted in West Kensington Estate.

A suspect has since been arrested and the vehicle seized.

The local authority is working alongside the Met Police in a bid to prosecute the person.

The same council appealed for information after a man was seen photographing his flytipping in Cedarne Road, Fulham, on July 18 (see video below).
