Police in Hounslow are searching for a man they want to speak to following an incident in which a "vulnerable" woman was forced to withdraw money from her bank account.

CCTV footage has been released showing the man police wish to speak with.

The incident took place on Monday, April 10 at around 1pm when the suspect approached a 50-year-old woman on Hearne Road in Chiswick .

Police say the woman had learning difficulties and whilst engaging her in conversation, the suspect claimed he was owed £25 for work he had done for one of her family members.

A spokesman for the Met Police said: "Convinced, the victim handed over that amount in cash from her purse.

"Shortly after the suspect approached the victim again on the Strand on the Green where he asked for a further £200.

"Not having this amount of money to hand the suspect went with the victim to a cash point dispenser on London Road where she withdrew the money and handed it over."
