Nurses and midwives looking for work have the opportunity to see what is on offer at the West Middlesex University Hospital , as it holds a recruitment open day.

The event is aimed at qualified men and women in both these professions and to anyone who has taken a career break and is looking to return to one of the two roles.

The recruitment drive hopes to fill a number of permanent vacancies in different areas of the hospital including in medicine and surgery.

It takes place at the hospital in Twickenham Road, Isleworth , on Saturday (June 10) from 11am to 3pm.

Aibhin Burke has worked at the hospital for the past 13 years in nursing, and said: “I have been fortunate to have had lots of great opportunities here and have progressed up the career ladder to ward sister, ward manager and now lead nurse.

"Those opportunities are here now and we want to hear from qualified nurses and midwifes looking to work somewhere new and exciting where they will be made to feel part of a great team."

Staff will be on hand to answer questions and take those who attend the recruitment day on a tour of the hospital.
