We called west London's Tory candidates and MPs to find out what on earth happened last night

We wanted to know if they think Theresa May should step down, and if she does, who should replace her

With the Conservative Party falling short of an overall majority, we called some of west London's Tory candidates and MPS, in an attempt to ask them what they thought of the events from the election .

With a hung parliament now a certainty, we wanted to know what they thought went wrong, if they thought Theresa May should stay on as Prime Minister , and if not, who they think should replace her.

After trying a number of the Conservative Party candidates and MPS in west London however, we we unable to get through to any.

Now we know it has been a long night, but with so many questions left unanswered within the party, surely someone has to be on call?

Are the Tories in crisis talks? Is silence golden? It wasn't all bad for the Tories in west London, after Zac Goldsmith returned to the party with a win in Richmond Park.

We are now left with a hung parliament, after the Tories failed to win a majority of 326 seats.

In west London, there has been a Labour landslide in the boroughs of Hounslow and Ealing , whilst the Conservative Party celebrated success in Chelsea and Fulham , where Greg Hands was reelected, and also in the Cities of London & Westminster constituency, where Mark Field held his seat.

We'll let you know when the Tories return our calls, and give us the answers the nation is waiting for.
