It seems the world is not the only one who is shocked by Boris Johnson being made Foreign Secretary , after the man himself was seen appearing slightly baffled as he left his house.
Setting out for his first day in the new role from his North London home, the Uxbridge and South Ruislip MP seemed to have lost his car as he moved through the waiting press pack which greeted him on Thursday (July 14) morning.
Carrying a ministerial red briefcase, the former Mayor of London said: "Good morning, I'm so sorry," with a bemused expression.
An unusually nervous looking Mr Johnson was caught on camera as he walked into the middle of the road a second time before an aide directed him towards the waiting car and opened the rear passenger door.
The west London MP, who was originally tipped to be the next Conservative leader before dropping out of the race, was given the role on Wednesday (July 13) in the new Tory government after Prime Minister Theresa May moved into Downing Street.

Labour leader hopeful Angela Eagle was seen laughing after hearing the appointment , and in an interview following the moment, said she couldn't believe "someone who went round telling blatant lies could be rewarded in that way."
