A television programme which follows Brentford pirate radio station, Kurupt FM, has scooped a major award at the BAFTAs.

Mockumentary, People Just Do Nothing , won the award for Best Scripted Comedy, beating off competition from rivals Camping, Fleabag and Flowers.

The series, which was created by Allan Mustafa, Steve Stamp, Asim Chaudhry and Hugo Chegwin, first aired on BBC Three in 2014, and follows the lives of aspirational musicians, MC Grindah and DJ Beats.

BAFTA congratulated those behind the programme on their achievement.

Fans were also quick to take to social media to share their delight.

Getwestlondon recently spotted television crews filming for the sitcom at St Mary's C of E Church on St Mary's Road in Ealing ahead of series 4.

A crew member confirmed that filming for the BBC Three sitcom was underway at the church.

The video above portrays what appears to be filming for a wedding scene.

Kurupt FM recently featured alongside Ed Sheeran for a special Red Nose Day video for Comic Relief.
