We have been reporting on the fire which started at a transfer waste centre in Brentford at around 9am on Tuesday (June 13).

LFB statement

A spokeswoman for the London Fire Brigade said:

We were called at 9.08am this morning (Tuesday June 13) to Transport Avenue, Brentford.


Around 22 tonnes of rubbish was gutted by the fire at a waste transfer centre.


Four fire engines attended and 20 firefighters and officers from Heston, Chiswick and Ealing.


It was all under control by 10.25am.”

The Brigade has said 22 tonnes of rubbish was gutted in the blaze on Transport Avenue in Brentford on Tuesday (June 13) morning.

Fire under control

A raging fire which broke out on Transport Avenue this morning is now under control, the LFB said.

A lot of rubbish has been set alight, the London Fire Brigade has told getwestlondon.

A spokeswoman for the Brigade added:

A waste transfer station, possibly a recycling centre, is where a lot of rubbish is alight.
