An aerial platform was used to hose down the fire after London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called on Wednesday August 2.
The emergency service sent 21 firefighters and four fire engines to address in Transport Avenue at 10.11 am.
A total of 10% of around 1,000 tonnes of recycling waste was affected, the LFB said.
Crews from Ealing, Chiswick and Heston fire stations attended the scene which was under control by 13.11pm.
A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: " The cause of the fire is under invesitigation."
It is not the first time a fire has hit the recycling centre.
