A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle near a crossing in Brentford on Thursday evening (2 July).

Police and paramedics were called at around 6:30pm to the collision in Boston Manor Road.

The injured person was described by an eye-witness as an "elderly woman".

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "The pedestrian was taken to hospital and their condition was described as non-life threatening."

"The driver stopped at the scene."

Onlookers gathered as police and ambulance attended the incident, which led to delays for several hours.
