A collision involving two cars has sparked traffic queues in Brentford today (January 7).

Metropolitan police were called to a collision involving two cars in Boston Manor Road, at the junction with the A4 Great West Road, at 11.25am.

It is not yet known if anyone was injured or how many people were involved in the collision.

The A4 Great West Road is reportedly blocked and with queuing traffic building in the area.

Elderly male and elderly female taken to hospital

Metropolitan police said an elderly male and an elderly female were both taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service (LAS) with minor injuries, which were neither life threatening nor life changing.

Officers added they believe the two people involved in the collision were aged between 65 and 70.
