A teenager is fighting for his life in hospital after being stabbed in a park in Hammersmith .

The 14-year-old victim is suffering from a stab wound which police say is "potentially life threatening".

It is believed he was attacked in Ravenscourt Park on Thursday (January 5) evening.

Police were alerted to the stabbing at around 7.50pm and the victim was found near a bus stop on Goldhawk Road, near the junction with Ashchurch Grove.

He was taken to a central London hospital by the London Ambulance Service suffering a stab wound.

Detectives from Hammersmith and Fulham CID are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.

This is the second knife attack to hit the borough in less than 24 hours, after a man in his 40s was stabbed in Fulham earlier the same day.
