An audience quizzed Boris Johnson when he appeared in South Ruislip to answer questions on a range of issues.
The London Mayor, who is the Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate (PPC) for Uxbridge and South Ruislip, addressed around 300 people at the Ramada Hotel on February 27.
He told the audience how, as London mayor, he had worked with the Hillingdon Conservative administration and looked forward to continuing that partnership and representing the residents if elected on May 7.
Speaking afterwards, Hillingdon Council leader Ray Puddifoot said: “Having worked closely with Boris over many years, he understands residents concerns and he has a good knowledge of the area.”
Last week, the Labour PPC for Uxbridge and South Ruislip Chris Summers accused Mr Johnson of running away from pre-election hustings.
