Mateusz Dajnowicz was found in the river near Kew Pier on September 22, reports the Evening Standard, months after he was granted UK citizenship.
It is believed his body was spotted by a member of the public.
Police confirmed a body was found in the river, but they are not treating the death as suspicious.
A Metropolitan police spokesman said: "Police were called on Thursday, September 22 shortly after midday to a report of a body found in the River Thames at Kew Pier, Richmond.
"The body of a 30-year-old man was recovered. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Next of kin have been informed. Formal identification has taken place.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious."
The 30-year-old reportedly moved to London 10 years ago and was working as a manager at the airport's cleaning contractor team.
