Christmas is over and what are we all left with?
An empty bank account, jeans that are just a bit too tight, stress from heading back to work and weather which, lets face it, is just a bit grim.
And did we need another reason to hate Monday?
Well here it is, Blue Monday falls on Monday January 16, and it is apparently the most depressing day of the year.
Lack of money after Christmas, dull weather, heading back to work after the break and being left feeling slightly heavier than this time last month are all factors that play a part in what defines Blue Monday.
When is it?
The term Blue Monday first cropped up in 2005, on January 24.
Since then it has typically fallen on the third Monday in January, so in 2017, that is January 16.
But rather than hide away and admit defeat, we have a few ideas on how you can get through the most depressing day of the year.
10 ways to get through Blue Monday
Exercise
Exercising is a good way of clearing your head. So pop on those brand new trainers you got for Christmas and head out for a run.
There are plenty of places perfect for running in the local area including Northwick Park in Harrow, Richmond Park, Hounslow Heath, Brent Lodge Park and Ruislip Woods.
Sing yourself happy
No-one can deny it, music has the power to make you smile. Science says that singing releases feel good chemicals, also known as endorphins, into the brain.
So what are you waiting for? Whilst getting ready in the morning or even on your commute into work, turn up the volume and just sing.
Go dancing
Either book yourself into a dance class at your local gym or just pop the music on in your living room and get dancing.
Similarly to singing, dancing releases endorphins to your brain, meaning you will feel less stressed and more calm after busting some shapes.
Go for a walk
Running and dancing both seem a little too energetic for you? Well, there is certainly nothing wrong with a nice walk.
Wake up slightly earlier and take a walk around your local park to blow out the cobwebs.
You will surely be in a better mood when you arrive at work.
Grab a free pizza from Franco Manca
Yes that's right, free pizza is available on Monday, January 16 at Franco Manca Italian restaurant.
However, there is a catch, you have to be celebrating your birthday in January.
But why are the chain doing it? This was their reply to one Twitter user.
All you have to do is turn up to the restaurant and show your ID and you can grab your free pizza.

At work on Monday, book your time off and when you get home, get planning your trip to the coast, abroad, the world is your osyter.
Do a good deed
It could be a small gesture like holding the door for someone, buying your loved one flowers or even just cooking dinner for someone.
You are sure to feel just that little bit better, and brighten up someone else's Blue Monday at the same time.
Take your lunch break
Take a break from your computer screen and get out of the office, even if it is just for 15 minutes.
Why not invite a colleague along for a quick coffee, maybe a new member of staff that you haven't really spoken to before?
Make plans after work
If you plan an activity after work, it will give you something to look forward to.
Maybe you can meet a friend and go for a meal, a drink or to the cinema? Being in London, you have plenty of options.
