Time is running out to vote for an arts and culture blogger from Hillingdon up for two national awards.

Comedy reviewer Michael Peters from the Tiemo Talk of the Town Blog has been nominated in the arts and culture category; and in the best storyteller category, at the UK Blog Awards 2016.

Online votes are open until 9pm on Monday (January 25).

Mr Peters started blogging in June 2011 and has gone from comedy reviews to reporting about concerts, plays, debates and topical news centred around issues including gender, politics and young people.

A delighted Mr Peters said: “I have been blogging for 5 years since writing and publishing my first blog in 2011.

“Our main focus has been covering stand up comedy, yet our blog has evolved to cover theatre, concerts, debates and topical news reflecting the ethos of Tiemo Talk of the Town.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to be acknowledged and recognised as a true knowledge provider within my field.

“We love reviewing all sorts of shows, events and reporting topical news and as this is the first time we’ve ever entered such a competition it would be great if we could get enough votes to reach the final short-list.

“For a change, it would be fun to make the news instead of reporting the news!”

The UK Blog Awards is in its third year and is sponsored by ODEON Cinemas and Hills Balfour (Travel PR).
