An animal shelter in west London is warning people to keep a closer eye on their pets after receiving several reports of cats snatchers in Hounslow.

The Hounslow Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) , which has offices in Hanwell, Ealing, is urging people to watch out for a man and woman in a small silver car who are believed to be the cat thieves.

Concerns were raised after a 12-year-old cat was reported missing from Neville Close in Hounslow on Thursday (January 21), as well as another two cats who were taken from nearby Lampton Avenue.

Karen Ann Connelly contacted getwestlondon , on behalf of Lisa Adams, owner of the white-paw cat, calling for help to find her friend’s feline taken from Neville Close.

She said a small silver car had been seen in Neville Close between 6pm and 7pm, around the time the cat disappeared.

A HAWS supporter told the organisation: “A man was seen just beforehand holding a bag and trying to stroke one of the cats. The woman was apparently waiting in the car. Police have been informed.”

A statement from HAWS said: “There’s not much any of us can do, I know, but you might want to be aware of this and spread the word.”

Police have been informed and are looking into the enquiry.
