As we all take a sigh of relief, welcoming in yet another bank holiday weekend , there is not really too much to celebrate when it comes to the weather.

It will be a rather mixed bag over the weekend , with some bright spells on Saturday, April 29, but the chance of rain developing throughout the weekend will mean an umbrella is a key accessory.

The Met Office forecast for Saturday says: "Another mostly dry day with sunny spells developing, and just the odd light shower possible.

"Initially light southerly winds will freshen through the day."

It will be feeling warm when the sun comes out, with highs of 16 °C.

Temperatures will be very similar on Sunday, April 30, with lows of 8°C overnight.

There is also a chance of some wet weather in the afternoon on Sunday as the forecast says: "Bright and breezy, but with a chance of rain later."

And sorry to break it too you, but our bank holiday Monday is looking cloudy with some rain in the forecast.

What to do this weekend

With a dry start to the bank holiday weekend in the forecast, make the most of the weather on Saturday and head outside.

You could take the children for a visit to Hounslow Urban Farm for the day, meeting the animals, including a pig meet and greet.

Address: Hounslow Urban Farm, Fagg's Road, Feltham .

With the rain not forecast to break through the clouds until Sunday afternoon, you may want to head down early doors and grab a game of dinosaur golf with the kids.

The Dinosaur Escape golf course in Northolt contains a full 18 holes adventure, featuring life-size dinosaurs that move and roar.

Address: Dinosaur Escape Adventure Golf, Ruislip Road, Northolt , UB5 6QZ.

Grab your umbrella and head to the the Canalway Cavalcade Festival in Little Venice on Sunday evening.

A floating restaurant will be among hundreds of illuminated canal boats which will parade the canals as part of the festival.

Guests will be invited aboard The Prince Regent canal boat to join in on the procession on April 30.

It will cost you £15 each, but you will receive a welcome drink on arrival.

On Monday?

With the weather not looking particularly brilliant, you may wish to just stay at home and nurse that bank holiday weekend hangover, ready for work on Tuesday!
