In a bid to catch the dog, he turned off to try and find the runaway.

He said: "So I turned the next road to my left and went into the road and he wasn't there.

"When I saw him there's only 10 seconds of me running but I was running for so long. I thought 'I'm gonna get tired first or he's going to get tired'."

In the footage, the lost dog runs away before stopping at a house before Mr Kabadayi catches him and calls the owner's number on his collar.

Mr Kabadayi said: "I lost my dog three years ago due to the fireworks.

"It was late and they went off and he legged it. It was pitch black so I thought there's no way I'll find him.

"I know that experience so when I gave this dog back it was the best feeling in the world."

On arrival at the owner's home, the bigon friese named Marley, ran into his owner's arms who said "you naughty thing".

"He (Marley) was hella scared, but at the end of the video you can see he's fine and he was licking my hands and everything."
