A crash involving two vehicles caused major tailbacks in Argyle Road in Ealing during the Friday morning (November 10) rush hour.

Officers were sent at around 7.30am to the two-vehicle crash but confirmed there were no injuries as it was a "damage-only" collision.

It caused long tailbacks along Argyle Road towards Scotch Common and Ruislip Road East towards Lady Margaret Road.

It led to congestion on the A40 eastbound with tailbacks reaching back past Hillingdon and buses were diverted.

The accident was cleared just before 10am and traffic returned to normal.

The crash comes just weeks after a man was injured in a crash between a car and truck at the exact same junction on October 18.

It caused extensive queues and heavy traffic during the evening rush hour, with motorists claiming they were stuck for hours trying to get home.
