Detectives are urgently appealing for help to identify a woman wanted for questioning in connection with a kidnapping.

A 47-year-old woman who was hit over the head by a female in Fernhead Road in Westminster was then forced into the back of a dark coloured, three-door car, bound and hooded and driven around until after midnight when a scheduled payment was credited into her bank account.

A woman who witnessed the initial assault had approached the victim to see if she was okay but the suspect said she had fallen over and the member of public went on their way.

The suspect, a female, was caught on CCTV at a cash machine at the BP petrol station on Mandeville Road in Northolt in the early hours of Tuesday June 23 at around 12.25am.

Cash was withdrawn from the victim's account and the female suspect walked away from the ATM in the direction of Mandeville Road.

Officers from Charing Cross CID are also keen to hear from anyone who saw a vehicle matching the description acting suspiciously in the area or who saw the woman (pictured).

The victim was kept in the vehicle throughout the incident.

She was eventually released outside The Crown pub on Ealing Road, Northolt, shortly before 2am.

Anyone who witnessed this incident, particularly the woman who initially approached the victim in Fernhead Road, should call Detective Constable Alex Caulkett of the Westminster Serious Crime Unit on 07500 766 462 or 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
