Appeal to find missing woman from Hounslow closed after body found in the Netherlands

A woman reported missing by the police on Sunday November 13 had flown to the Netherlands, police said

An appeal launched by the Metropolitan Police to find a missing person from Housnlow has been closed after a body was found in the Netherlands.

On Sunday November 13, the police launched an appeal to find Zainab Sheikh from Iselworth .

The Met Police said officers had conducted a number of local enquiries and established the woman had flown to the Netherlands.

In a statement, the police force said: "On the morning of Sunday, 13 November, a woman from Hounslow was reported missing to police.

"Officers conducted a number of local enquiries and established that she had flown to the Netherlands.

"Officers were subsequently informed that the woman had been found deceased.

"Next of kin have been informed."

Whilst formal identification has not yet been confirmed, it is believed the body found in the Netherlands is that of Zainab Sheikh.
