A charity box has been stolen from a church in Chelsea .

The theft is thought to have happened at Holy Trinity in Sloane Street sometime between 5pm and 5.40pm on Wednesday (November 30).

It was reported to police the following day on December 1. Officers have described the crime as “appalling”.

It is not known how much was in the charity box.

Police are investigating and asking people with information to come forward.

They are yet to make any arrests.
