Planning to pop the question to your better half? LoveAntiques is offering a £1,000 ring to the winner of their Valentine's themed treasure hunt this Saturday (February 6).

The ring on offer is more than 100 years old and is an Art Deco Full Entirety Diamond ring set in white gold.

Organisers have written 10 cryptic clues and and riddles that will lead participants in a race around London's most romantic statues.

Managing director at LoveAntiques, Will Thomas, said: “Valentines Day is one of our busiest trading days of the year – we are called 'Love' Antiques after all.

“We thought that we'd have a bit of fun this year and have chosen some obvious and not so obvious statues across London to place the clues.

“Proposing with an antique diamond ring is about as romantic as it gets and we fully expect the applicants to throw themselves into the treasure hunt – we have written clues that will make the task a real challenge for them.”

One lucky winner will put a smile on their better halves face with this antique win

When participants arrive at each statue they will have to take a picture of themselves at the location and have the choice to submit it via Twitter, text message or email and then will receive the next clue.

LoveAntiques will email the location of the first statue to all registered participants at 10am on Saturday.

Valentines Day is one of the most popular days of the year for proposals and with the hunt taking place on February 6, meaning the winner will receive the ring in time to plan their special day a week later.
