Uxbridge police station's front counter is set to close on Thursday December 14, but what is the state of crime in Hillingdon?

Two weeks ahead of the closure, which will leave just one police station front counter in the borough, getwestlondon has analysed the latest crime stats for Hillingdon.

Metropolitan Police statistics from September 2017 showed a total of 2,769 crimes reported in the borough.

The Office for National Statistics projections estimate there are around 309,300 people living in Hillingdon, which means that in the month of September there were roughly nine crimes per 1,000 people living in the borough.

By far the most reported crime was antisocial behaviour which, at 692 reported cases in September alone, makes up about a quarter (24.7%) of all crime in the borough.

A fifth (19.6%) of all crimes were in the violence and sexual offences category, with 548 cases reported in September in Hillingdon.

The borough's third most prevalent crime is vehicle crime, reported to police 378 times in one month, making up 13.7% of all crime in the borough.

The Heathrow Villages ward, which includes Harlington, Harmondsworth and Sipson, had the highest number of reported crimes in the borough, with 196.
