A spate of Islamophobic graffiti has appeared on the streets of Hounslow , where a pig's head has also been found.

The words 'Muslims hate us' and 'Muslims are terrorists' have been scrawled on the pavement outside homes in Bath Road, Hounslow.

The first message has since been altered in a dig at the perpetrator to read 'Muslims hate racists'.

Hate-filled graffiti is also understood to have been daubed further up the road on the pavement by the bus stop outside a small parade of shops opposite Ss Michael and Martin Church, close to where the pig's head was found in an alleyway.

These photos were supplied by someone living in the road, who reported the graffiti to police last Thursday (December 17) evening.

He declined to speak to getwestlondon but a friend, Ed Driscoll, said he was horrified by the messages.

"It's obviously disturbing to think there are people who are looking to pick on innocent victims like this," said Mr Driscoll.

The Metropolitan Police said enquiries were ongoing and there had been no arrests at this stage.
