Young survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire were treated to a private showing of Despicable Me 3 by Adele .

The Set Fire to the Rain singer invited a number of costumed Minions to the event, which she organised at Whiteley's cinema in Queensway, London.

A number of children who survived the fire were taken to the showing on Thursday August 3.

As the Daily Mirror reported , the trip came just days after she was spotted at a local learning centre in the area, helping disadvantaged children - giving back to those less-fortunate in her hometown.

Speaking to The Sun, a source told the newspaper: "Adele sees her work in the community as a full-time priority now her touring days are over for the foreseeable future.

“Being a local Londoner, she’s made no secret about how personally affected she was by the Grenfell Tower blaze and wants to help in every way she can.

“While she’s working hard behind the scenes to raise cash, she wanted to treat residents to a night of fun and help take their minds off what happened and organised a private viewing of the brand new Despicable Me 3 movie."

In a picture posted on Twitter , the star can be seen posing, smile on her face beside a group of youngsters.

And in another Instagram picture she can be seen doting on one of the young group, smiling sweetly at the little boy as he gazes up adoringly at her.

In the foyer of the cinema, a fresh-faced Adele is clearly delighted to be helping in any way she can when it comes to the tragedy.
