A man from Wembley has been arrested and charged with the murder of a teenage boy in East Acton.

Sakariya Gasar, 20, of Waverly Avenue, was arrested on Wednesday (October 18) on suspicion of murdering Mahad Hussain Ali.

He was charged on Thursday (October 19) and is set to appear at Ealing Magistrates' Court later the same day.

The 18-year-old victim was found stabbed outside a warehouse party in Coronation Road at around 2.35am on June 29.

Police officers gave him first aid while waiting for an ambulance, which rushed him to a central London hospital where he died two hours later at 4.33am.

A post-mortem examination carried out at Uxbridge Mortuary found the cause of death to be stab wounds to his chest and abdomen.

Ahead of this latest arrest, three people were previously detained in connection with Mahad's murder in East Acton.

A 41-year-old man was arrested on June 29 on suspicion of murder, before a 21-year-old also arrested on suspicion of murder on July 2.

A 26-year-old man was later arrested on July 6 on suspicion of violent disorder.

All three men were subsequently released under investigation.
