Drivers can expect to be stuck in traffic for even longer after a lorry trying to turn into a road got stuck and caused Acton Lane in Harlesden to close.

The busy NW10 lane is being manned by Metropolitan Police officers as the lorry, which reportedly tried to turn into Baker Street, got jammed whilst attempting the turn and has broken down.

Transport for London (TfL) said: "Acton Lane, NW10, all directions, at the junction of Baker Road - The road is blocked by a broken down HGV."

Police have been re-routing cars for over an hour and commuters can expect traffic delays as they attempt to resolve the situation.

One commuter took to social media to describe the situation and wrote: "Acton Lane a mess due to a HGV spinning out on the hill by Harlesden Primary school".

Transport for London also told getwestlondon the road still remains closed.
